Privacy Policy
FolioMark processes your PDFs on your device. This policy explains the limited data used for app features, purchases, and optional rewarded advertising.
1. Who we are
FolioMark is operated by its independent developer under the Oakbit Studio brand. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to oakbit.apps@outlook.com.
2. Documents stay on your device
You choose an unencrypted PDF through Apple's document picker. FolioMark copies the selected file into its protected app storage so it can preview, number, and export the document locally.
FolioMark does not upload your PDF content, filenames, page labels, or exported documents to Oakbit Studio or to the advertising service.
The original PDF is not overwritten. Exported copies are saved only to a location you choose. Files in locations outside FolioMark are controlled by you and the provider of that location.
3. Data stored locally
FolioMark may store the following on your device:
- App preferences and numbering settings.
- The count of successful free basic exports.
- Unused rewarded-export credits.
- Temporary input, preview, and output files used for the current document.
You can remove FolioMark's temporary document data by starting a new document or using Clear Local Data in the app. Uninstalling the app removes its app container. This does not remove copies that you exported elsewhere.
4. Purchases
FolioMark uses Apple's StoreKit to offer and verify the Pro purchase and to restore eligible purchases. Apple processes the transaction, payment information, and Apple Account data. Oakbit Studio does not receive your complete payment card information. Apple's practices are described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
5. Optional rewarded advertising
If you choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock an export, FolioMark uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. The advertising SDK may process advertising and device identifiers, an IP-address-derived general location, ad and product interactions, diagnostics, and performance information, depending on your device settings, region, consent choices, and the ad served.
FolioMark does not give your PDF content or document settings to Google. FolioMark currently disables Google's publisher first-party identifier and does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission.
Where required, a consent message is shown before ads are requested. You can revisit eligible choices from Privacy Options in FolioMark's About screen. Google explains its processing in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
6. Analytics and accounts
FolioMark does not require an account and does not include a separate third-party analytics SDK. Oakbit Studio may receive aggregate reports supplied by Apple and Google, such as downloads, purchases, ad delivery, revenue, diagnostics, and crash or performance information. These reports do not include the content of your PDF.
7. Sharing, sale, and service providers
Oakbit Studio does not sell your documents or personal information. Data may be processed by Apple for App Store and purchase services and by Google when you use optional rewarded advertising. Those providers process data under their own terms and policies and may use infrastructure in other countries.
8. Retention and security
Document working files are retained locally only as needed for the active workflow and until you clear them, replace the current document, or uninstall the app. Preferences, usage boundaries, and earned credits remain locally until cleared or the app is removed. Apple and Google determine retention for data they process.
FolioMark uses platform protections and keeps document processing local, but no device or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device protected and review exported files before sharing them.
9. Children
FolioMark is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly to Oakbit Studio.
10. Your choices and rights
You can avoid advertising data processing by not requesting a rewarded ad or by purchasing Pro. You can manage available advertising consent choices in the app, delete local app data, or uninstall the app. Depending on your location, you may also have legal rights concerning personal data. Contact us to make a request. We may need enough information to understand and respond to it.
11. This website
This website does not use analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or cookies set by Oakbit Studio. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process standard connection, security, and diagnostic data as described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when FolioMark or its service providers change. The updated date above will be revised, and material changes may also be communicated in the app or its store listing.
